Oi Musica works hard to create music-making opportunities for those who would otherwise miss out. The benefits of learning an instrument and playing in a group are diverse - and proven. From cognitive benefits, to improving health & wellbeing, developing skills, building confidence & self worth, and supporting learning in other areas. Sadly, these benefits are out of reach for many people - whether children who are not amongst the lucky few receiving free instrument lessons at school, those who cannot afford private lessons or adults who lack access to resources or opportunities.

In 2026, the funding climate for arts and social projects is impossibly competitive. Regardless of track record, quality and outcomes, organisations in our sector are being turned down for funding more regularly than ever, while costs continue to rise.

Donations towards Oi Musica's work are gratefully received, and will be used to target music-making opportunities for those facing the greatest disadvantage.
